Football Association of Iceland selects Prozone for National Teams Analysis
Ahead of 3 major international competitions Prozone Sports Ltd have agreed a long term partnership with the Football Association of Iceland (KSI) to provide performance analysis solutions for the Men’s,Women’s and U21's national teams.
With an ever increasing focus on the need for detailed performance analysis for national team success, coupled with recent investments and improvements in training facilities, Iceland’s selection of Prozone is evident of the ambitions to develop the game across all levels.
Results of such investments have been apparent, prompting in particular a rapid escalation of the U21's success, and Prozone analysis solutions will be incorporated to contribute towards optimum preparation and performance as they aim to win their first ever international championship.
The nation lines up in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals for the first time in their history in June. Having dethroned holders Germany and as top scorers in qualifying, Iceland will take their place in the final eight in Denmark as a top 4 seeded team, using Prozone MATCHVIEWER for their opposition scouting and post-match analysis.
Prozone’s analysis to the KSI is already underway with the Women’s National team in the Algarve Cup, and will be followed by analysis of the Euro 2012 Men’s Senior National team qualifying campaign using Prozone MATCHVIEWER and Prozone TREND, allowing the KSI to search, view, and extract data and video across multiple games to continually monitor and assess performance trends.
The Football Association of Iceland, Technical Director Siggi Eyolfsson, said of the agreement with Prozone;"The Icelandic F.A. is delighted to start working with Prozone.
