Toronto Install ProZone
In the wake of ProZone’s developing partnership with US soccer, Toronto FC has become the first team in Major League Soccer (MLS) to sign up with the full ProZone3, multi-camera system. The eight cameras, strategically installed at the BMO Field, track each player’s every movement during a match to provide the most extensive information ProZone provide. The first game since the installation saw Toronto run out comfortable 3-1 winners over the Colorado Rapids.
The new agreement is likely to be the first of many with MLS clubs, as ProZone establish a presence in America with the establishment of their headquarters in Chicago. ProZone recently agreed to analyse all MLS, National Team, and Development Academy Showcase matches using the MatchViewer software.
Manager John Carver, who first came across the ProZone system when coaching at Leeds United, has led Toronto to third place in the Eastern Conference. Talking about the new installation, he commented “The hard-working players love it – the lazy players hate it!
"I'm not saying that what we've got here is going to get three points for us on a Saturday," Carver added "but this is certainly going to give us an edge when we're preparing for games, when we come in at half time and certainly post-match."
